Photo checklist
Before you clean up, take these photos.
Your photos are your proof. Take them before you move, throw out or fix anything, as long as it is safe to be there. Tick items off as you go. This page remembers where you left off.
Safety first. Stay out if you smell gas, see sagging ceilings or walls, or there is standing water near power. Stay away from downed lines. Photos can wait.

A few habits that help
- Take a slow video walkthrough too. Say the date, the room and what you see as you go.
- Before and after. If you tarp or board up to stop more damage, photograph before and after the fix.
- Write it down. When you first saw each problem, and every call with your insurer: date, time, name and claim number.
- Back it up. Send your photos to Freddie below, or email them to yourself, so one lost phone does not lose everything.
Upload
Send your photos to Freddie.
Photos are made smaller on your phone before they upload, so they go through even on a weak signal.
We got your photos.
Freddie will look them over before he comes out. You can add more any time.
